Nestled between a woodland cove and serene lilypad pond, the Pine Cottage awaits you with warm lights and lounging porch nooks. Formerly known as the Pass House circa 1845, this home was transported to the property around 1998, where it was remodeled with the minimal and cozy accents of scandinavian design.

The crowning jewel of the estate, the classic colonial architecture of The Laurel Cottagee with its cascading staircases and decadent design gives a dramatic backdrop for any event. Trails of trees with twinkling lights, wrap-around porches with hanging swings, and idyllic views of green meadows all create an enchanting landscape to host wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, or weekend getaways. The largest cottage, circa 1845, features marble counters, and old world sophistication. A popular pick for brides and bridal parties to lodge and get prepared before the big day, this space is available for weddings and large events.

On wedding day, this charming bungalow serves as a rugged “man cave” where the groom and his men can relax and get ready before the ceremony. Once operating as a one-room school house, this structure now functions as both a beautiful dressing space and architectural backdrop for intimate outdoor gatherings.

"The Cottages on Mergendollar was everything and more! It was so special being able to get married at the place I once called home. The houses are remodeled and furnished so nicely now! Lauren also was so helpful! She gave me tips on how to plan things and what more I needed; she was always so easy to get in touch with. We highly recommend Mergendollar for not only outside but inside weddings as well. The Reception Hall has long beautiful tables and can accommodate about 100 people for rainy days or if you’re just looking for an indoor facility. For you outside brides, the options are endless! New brides, definitely keep The Cottages on Mergendollar on your radar!"

"My husband and I chose The Cottages on Mergendollar for our wedding venue. It is always scary committing to vendors because you want your vision to be executed as you have always dreamed and there is no way to know for certain what an outcome will be... They all work so hard to make sure that your wedding day is and looks exactly how we have imagined and it could have not be more perfect. We got compliments on the food, dance floor, and ease of everything being located so conveniently at one sight. As a bride who always dreamed of a garden wedding I diligently toured venues across Georgia and by far you could not choose a more beautiful wedding venue especially if you desire a garden wedding. You will not regret choosing this venue and again we could not be more thrilled with the service we received and the overall experience!"
